Some call it coaching, some call it counselling, some call it healing, some call it professional development....what ever you call it, it helps to step back from the day to day and take stock of those facets of our lives that serve and those that do not. One to one sessions build this ability to 'observe and not absorb'*. In doing so we biuld clarity about our potential, our purpose and the true options that are available to us.
There is no right time to start having One to One sessions, nor is there a right moment to finish. Each individual will feel this for themselves.
My role is to provide
- Process: tools and techniques that aid the individual to reflect and deepen awareness
- Permission: to question, challenge, be challenged, try out new approaches and explore possibility in a non-judgmental environment
- Partnership: being an independent and neutral person willing to reflect back the comfortable and not so comfortable
The Practicalities
- How often? This is determined by you. Some people use this as an intensive process (ie: every 1-3 weeks) others opt for less intensive (monthly or beyond), some even “touch base” as an when they are impulsed to.
- How many sessions? Again this varies. For some people one session is all they want/need, others are keen to keep th eprocess going. Typically, a package of at least 4 sessions is a good starting point and gives enough time to see some results.
- How long does each session last? The session runs for 60 minutes.
- Where do we meet? At the Aha! Consulting office in Yokine (off site sessions can be arrange for an additional fee).
- Who finds out about what we talk about? What we talk about is confidential, even when a third party is paying for the time. (ie an employer). If an employer wants some feedback at the end of an agreed period of time, the nature and scope of this feedback is agreed with you before we get started (Written reports/update meetings incur an additional cost).
